Volvo, founded on April 14th 1927, by Assar Gabrielsson and Gustaf Larsson has, and always will have Swedish cultures at the iron heart of the brand. Around 1.3 million people's lives are taken every year due to traffic incidents. Vision 2020 is Volvo's way of creating a more sustainable way of personal transportation without compromising what a car should truly be. Here is a brief collection of Volvo's journey of innovation from the bearings factory in Gothenburg, to becoming the safest and most human centric car brand on the market.
